The Volume Issue
The Unlimited Magazine
What’s louder than loud?
What makes us stand out of the crowd, allowing our voices to be heard?
In the age of blogging, Instagraming, and Vine-ing, we all make our own content and share it with the world. Back in the early 80’s young kids from the Bronx and Harlem made a name for themselves by Tagging and Bombing the trains and subways. This tradition of creating a street name evolved into what we call street art, and what a lot of people are now collecting and dealing today.
When we say Volume we like to think about quantity, a bold statement occupying a space.
In this issue we explore the term volume through the eyes of a street art collector, a street artist, a 75-year-old club photographer, a band, a make up artist and a blogger. We explore a structural experimentation with the human body, an abstract look at ambiguity, and music through interpretation. Each individual faces the bombarded streets of the life we live in, and finds a way to “out-loud” the distractions.
Create the loud, be the loud. It is in the palm of your hand.
Enjoy.
